What is the procedure to calculate flow coefficient?

Click For Summary
To calculate the flow rate from the flow coefficient (Cv) of a 2/2 solenoid valve, one must first understand the relationship between Cv and flow rate. The flow rate can be determined using the formula Q = Cv × √(ΔP), where Q is the flow rate, Cv is the flow coefficient, and ΔP is the pressure drop across the valve. Testing methodology typically involves measuring the pressure drop and ensuring the valve is operating under specified conditions. Proper calibration and consideration of fluid properties are essential for accurate results. Understanding these steps will clarify the procedure for calculating flow rates using Cv.

I'm not sure what you are asking.

Had my central air system checked when it sortta wasn't working. I guess I hadn't replaced the filter. Guy suggested I might want to get a UV filter accessory. He said it would "kill bugs and particulates". I know UV can kill the former, not sure how he thinks it's gonna murder the latter. Now I'm finding out there's more than one type of UV filter: one for the air flow and one for the coil. He was suggesting we might get one for the air flow, but now we'll have to change the bulb...
