Help please can't think of that word!

What's that word for when technology becomes useless!?

for example you have an old version of a robot
and a new robot comes out

or compare windows 95 to windows vista,
you'd say windows 95 is " " to vista

you'd say that the old robot is " "

I can't think of that word, and it's killing me!1
