AI Thread Summary
To create engaging video presentations, essential tools include screen recording software such as CamStudio, Camista, FrontCam for Windows, or QuickTime for Mac. A pen input tablet, like a Wacom tablet, enhances the natural writing experience, while drawing software options include Photoshop, Paint, and SmoothDraw. For optimal results, configure the screen recording software to capture the drawing area of SmoothDraw. Additionally, Screencast-o-matic offers a user-friendly and free downloadable edition for screen recording, making it accessible for beginners. A microphone is optional but can enhance audio quality.

You need -
  1. A screen recording software (e.g. CamStudio, Camista, FrontCam for Windows, QuickTime for Mac)
  2. A Wacom tablet , or any pen input tablet to write naturally rather than using a mouse
  3. A drawing software like Photoshop, Paint, SmoothDraw etc.
  4. Microphone (optional)
You just need to set the the screen recording software to record the drawing area of SmoothDraw.

I like the Youtube, it's a big play platform

Something easy and free to use and learn is the downloadable edition of Screencast-o-matic to make the screen cast recordings.

We can get into how and why it got wrecked later, but suffice to say a kitchen knife was involved: These buttons do want to NOT come off, not like other lappies, where they can snap in and out. And they sure don't go back on. So, in the absence of a longer-term solution that might involve a replacement, is there any way I can activate the power button, like with a paperclip or wire or something? It looks...
