Discussion Overview

The discussion revolves around the effectiveness of a gasoline additive in cleaning carbon deposits. Participants explore the composition of the additive and its potential impact on octane ratings, as well as the broader implications of fuel combustion.

Discussion Character

  • Exploratory
  • Technical explanation
  • Debate/contested

Main Points Raised

  • One participant questions whether the gasoline additive can completely and effectively clean carbon deposits, providing a specific formula for the additive.
  • Another participant raises a question about the definition of "clean," noting that fuels ultimately convert to CO2 after combustion.
  • A participant shares a link to a website reviewing gas treatment products and invites feedback on potential errors.
  • Another participant comments on the clarity of the posts, suggesting that the use of translation tools may be affecting the coherence of the messages.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

There is no consensus on the effectiveness of the gasoline additive for cleaning carbon, and participants express differing views on what constitutes "clean." The discussion remains unresolved regarding the efficacy of the proposed formula.

Contextual Notes

Participants have not defined key terms such as "clean" or clarified the assumptions behind the effectiveness of the additive. There are also unresolved questions regarding the clarity of communication in the thread.

Does the gasoline additive can be complete and effective cleaning of carbon?
This is the recipe I found on the Internet formula

Methanol 60~70%

Isopropyl alcohol CK

Ethylene glycol monobutyl ether, 10~20%

Diacetone alcohol 10~20%

If I need to raise the octane number need to add tert-butyl alcohol%

What do you consider clean?

Those fuels ends up as CO2 after combustion.

Are you using google translate to write your posts? I am afraid they don't make much sense.
