Which type of bond involves the sharing of electrons?

I'm Chem-dumb...I come here when I get myself into a bind which used to be more often. I can remember random English information but Chem? Out of the question...I still can't remember the difference between an ionic compound and a covalent compound although I was able to at the beginning of the year.
