Honestly, that was my first idea - it will be much easier to tell whom I dislike. I even thought about starting a twin thread

Yes, it would be a shorter list and it's more fun! Who knows perhaps we even get to like someof our unfavorites through that thread!

List your favorite PFers and state a reason why they're your favorite.

1. Russ Watters: The guy knows his stuff and he runs a good website.
2. Astronuc: I like his positive outlooks on life. I also enjoy his humility and honesty.
3. Moonbear: I like reading her commentary on women. I've learned a lot about some of the subtle stuff.

4. Turbo: Two words: HOT STUFF!
5. Jason Rox: He has some rational perspectives on the nature of relationships. I wish he'd write a book about it.

You forgot your most favorite one: !------- *** Gear300 *** -------!

Very good question, the best you have asked so far.

Let me explain...This is a dumb thread because -->

1) what's the point in knowing ones favourite pfer ? Really, c'mon...
2) you never defined which criteria we should use to define "favourite"
3) after having defined those criteria, you should have weighted each and every one of them
4) you should explain how you weighted those and ask everybody's approval
5) you are forcing people to make biased choices based upon ... yeah, upon what ?
6) you never explained WHY you want to know this, to what purpose ?

This is a dumb thread, mainly because of reasons 2, 3.

ciao

Criteria for liking/disliking someone are always subjective, not objective. Trying to make them objective is... well, dumb?

What's the point of 95% of the threads in general discussion? Your point?

2) you never defined which criteria we should use to define "favourite"

These are subjective.

4) you should explain how you weighted those and ask everybody's approval

Again, subjective.

5) you are forcing people to make biased choices based upon ... yeah, upon what ?

I'm not forcing people to do anything.

6) you never explained WHY you want to know this, to what purpose ?

This is a dumb thread, mainly because of reasons 2, 3.

There is no purpose to it just like 95% of the general discussion threads. It's just for conversation and appreciation.

I like you because you have green hair.

Binzing, because he is the only verified real PF'er.

Astronuc, because the only concert I've been to in the last 10 years that I wasn't dragged to was Joe Satriani.

lisab, because if I want to know what the weathers like, I just ask her. We're neighbors.

Ivan passed my test.

Tsu: I've never met Tsu, but I've never met a person at the OCF I didn't like. She's been, therefore I like her.

Greg: Refused to accept more contributions even though the holiday sale was officially over. Made this all possible, etc, etc.

ZZ: gave me my one and only warning; "Thread Hi-Jack!" I have a great deal of respect for authoritay.

MIH, because yes, math is hard.

Evo & Moonbear, the core of the sisterhood...:!)

Turbo: I'd never have thought of eating those scapes. mmm... yummy.

Woolie: types with a British accent. I love British accents.

and all those who I don't think are mean, spiteful, poo-poo heads.

I don't know. Matt Damon is awesome though. He played in those awesome Bourne movies, and he wrote the screenplay for GWH, another excelleint movie. And he went to harvard. His impression of Matthew McConaughey is hilarious. Fun fact: he grew up next door to Howard Zinn, leftist historian and political scientist. Maybe that helped shape his views. He narrated You Can't be Neutral and had read parts of People's History and other of Zinn's works (as has Wallace Shawn, who played in the excellent My Dinner with Andre).

Damon rules, Matt strone and trey parker suck.
