Two full games for the price of one. (go 'stros)

My prediction: Cards over ChiSox in the WS.

Physics news on Phys.org
The Los Anglelos California Halos of Anaheim vanquished the evil Yankees and there was much rejoicing.

(yay)

Haha..my beloved Yankees lost. The Empire will strike back in 2006!

The Angels own the Yankees. Arte Moreno will be the next great owner in professional sports. I don't know that he'll quite be Jerry Buss, but the Angels will be a force for a while with the minor-league resources they have.

I'd like to see the Angels win, but realistically, I'm going with whoever wins the NL. The Astros have too much great pitching and the Cards are loaded everywhere.

I imagine they will make major changes this offseason, which is good because it should stir up things for all of baseball. And it was nice to see A-Guez earning his money by batting a whopping 0.133 with zero RBIs in the playoffs.

Angels are in trouble because they have to play in Chicago today, after they played in LA yesterday, after they played in NY the day before that. On the other hand, the ChiSox have had 3 days of rest, and should pound the Angels tonight.

The Cardinals have a similar but smaller advantage over Houston. I still pick St. Louis to win it all, but I hope this series is as good as their series with Houston last year.

Yanks got screwed by Joe West.

It wasn't just A-Rod. Although I think he's the biggest goat of them all. Matsui, Sheffield and the rest of the offense can't get runs in. But with the injuries the team had to endure all season; and some lucky pickups such as Chacon and Small it's still quite a feat that the Yanks won the AL East. Unfortunately, the big unit came up small.

Great pitching and great bullpen. We've silence Vladdy's bat though :approve:

How's their minor league? Is it the best in the AL? any good prospects coming up?

Dallas McPherson led the minors in HRs last season (he was brought up this year but injured his back and didn't play) and some other kid (I cannot remember his name) led the minors in HRs this year. Casey Kotchmann has been itching to get a shot at first base as soon as they unload Erstad. They have a lot of position players that are either major-league ready or very close, but they could use more young pitching. Then again, the pitchers they already have are pretty good.

This is the reason you love baseball, right? What should happen isn't what actually happens. The Angels just won Game One.

That's right, but I still expect Chicago to win. The tiredness will catch up with them today!

Geez, what a prophet! The Angels were suddenly too exhausted to make one last throw to first to record the last out of the inning! (Must have been the dread of facing extra innings.)

Yeah, that was a crappy ending to that game. But I have to hand it to the White Sox, they sure know how to take advantage of miscues (be it by the Angels or the umpires). I would expect the Angels to win game three, and St. Louis to win again tonight.

Houston, we have a problem. And it comes in the form of 6'3 210 pound Dominican. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Albert Pujols is amazing.
Hooray for the White Sox.

That Pujols homerun definitely killed it for the Astros. I can almost hear their fans heart shatter into pieces. I hope the Cards win

6'3, 225 pounds. I'd take this guy over A-Rod in risp situations.

Average .330
HR 41
RBI 117
SB 16

The stage is set: Astros V White Sox
Who do you pick?
I say the White Sox win.

I don't like Clemens so I'm rooting for the Sox.
