AI Thread Summary
LaTeX inputs in the forum require specific delimiters for proper display, with two dollar signs ($$) used for displayed math and four dollar signs (####) for in-line math. Users initially faced issues where inputs with two dollar signs did not render correctly. Clarifications indicated that using the correct delimiters is essential for visibility. After troubleshooting, one user confirmed that inputs worked in preview mode with the correct formatting. Proper usage of delimiters is crucial for successful LaTeX rendering in forum posts.

I have unfortunately a problem, if I make my inputs only with two dollar signs, that these are not indicated, but only with 4 dollar signs.

Unfortunately, I cannot make my latex inputs in the text in such a way, like e.g.

The formula is as follows $f(x)=x^2$, form the derivative of this formula.

Hi,

Not clear to me what is going wrong... the delimiters for in-line math are ## and for displayed math $$

So you type "The formula is as follows $$f(x)=x^2$$ and ... " and you get: $$f(x)=x^2$$ and ...

And if you type "The formula is as follows ##f(x)=x^2## and ... " you get: ##f(x)=x^2## and ...
