Only been here a year. Just noticed these little deposits on my Magnolia. They are white and fuzzy and break open easily to exude a reddish-brown liquid.

Obvs a parasite, but is it harmful?

Looks like this is soft scale and should be treated.

I'll have to go find out whatvthe beat course of treatment is
