Hi, when try factor(2x^2+17xy+y^2) the result is the same equation, the same result with quadratic polynomials doesn't give a facotr answer. Thanks
The TI-89 Titanium calculator is not factoring equations correctly for the expression 2x² + 17xy + y², returning the original equation instead of a factored form. Users must ensure they press the diamond key before hitting Enter to receive an approximate result. This step is crucial for the calculator to process the factoring function effectively. Failure to do so results in no change to the input expression.
PREREQUISITESStudents, educators, and anyone using the TI-89 Titanium for algebraic computations, particularly those encountering issues with polynomial factoring.
