Who told you tautology was illogical? A tautology like "1 + 1 = 2" is extremely helpful.
 
I'm right with you there pal. 1 + 1 = 2 is my daily bread.
 
Yeah, a tautology isn't illogical. It's a statement that basically says the same thing twice, usually while attempting to imply that it's saying two different things. LOL Math is Hard.
