SUMMARY

A cut on the finger that persists for over a week without healing, which bleeds upon washing, indicates a potential underlying issue. The discussion emphasizes the importance of consulting a healthcare professional rather than self-diagnosing or attributing the condition to simple causes like vitamin deficiency. Immediate medical evaluation is recommended to address any complications that may arise from a non-healing wound.

PREREQUISITES
  • Basic understanding of wound healing processes
  • Knowledge of potential complications from cuts and injuries
  • Awareness of signs that necessitate medical attention
  • Familiarity with common vitamin deficiencies and their effects on healing
NEXT STEPS
  • Research the stages of wound healing and factors affecting it
  • Learn about common complications from cuts, such as infections
  • Investigate the role of vitamins and minerals in skin repair
  • Understand when to seek medical advice for non-healing wounds
USEFUL FOR

Individuals with minor injuries, healthcare students, and anyone seeking to understand the importance of proper wound care and when to consult a medical professional.

TL;DR
The blood stops running but the wound doesn't heal
I 've a cut in my finger that is there for now over 1 week. The blood stops running but when i wash my hand the blood starts running again , then it stops running till i wash my hands again and so on. It seems that the wound just doesn't heal. Should I worry about this and visit a doctor or it is something that has a simple cause (lack of vitamins perhaps?),
