Another good example, asteroid masses falling to Earth. As they go through the atmosphere, they burn up and get smaller.
And you never have to thank me.
So..
I took ME 454/Mechatronics in college a few years ago.
When we were programming a rotating arm robot to land at a desired coordinate... everyone had trouble with it. Because the C++/microcontroller limited us to using linear equations only. And you were trying to compensate for...
What's your degree in? What kind of jobs are you applying for? Where/company name?
Also what kinds of things did you focus on in undergrad? What do you want to work on?
And, how did I get my first job?
I was hired as a graduate assistant at a research lab in my campus' University Park. How...
No you should be fine. Get a tank with a variable volume cover. Basically the lid has a gasket on the edges, and you can float it on top of the liquid up/down as you need to remove the head space.
In some membrane operations, the retentate line is fed back into the inlet of the pump. And...
jetman, I don't want to hijack your topic. Not trying to anyway.
Where did you find the compression strength data for PVC pipe?
I'm thinking about building a vacuum chamber for some quick tests from PVC. It'd be schedule 40 pipe, 6" diameter, a 12" length of it.
Maximum water pressure...
depends what you want to do when you graduate... we mechanical engineers are required to take engineering statistics... we do not (i repeat do not) have to take linear algebra. we also take a numerical analysis class based in matlab.
now.. if you plan on going into any field that deals...
reply.
Oroboro, first i'd like to start off with "shove it". I'm indian, and I find your comments offensive. "these people" is a horrible, and very condescending way to refer to any group of people. [By the way, I was born and raised in Chicago, so again I say, "shove it"]. Outsourcing...
quit complaining.. explain to me how someone who is in pre-calculus will understand a proof based in calculus3 ? its just too big of a jump.. hence the "beyond the scope of this class"
im a mechanical engineer with a minor in math.. i spent a week with math professors from all over the world...
Again i say... check in with some business students.. a large number of them are former engineering students... check out the computer management info systems people... they're former computer science (engineering people)... its a tough field of study.
i extremely resent anyone saying...
hrm.. there's a lot more to it.. simply power transmission.. like the fact that the powerlines running to your house supply a lot more than 120v at X amps.. and there's a down transformer in your house that converts it into something you can use...
your field can have almost nothing to do...
