How can a pi_0 meson decay into 2 photons?

Homework Statement Earlier my teacher put this equation on the board, π_0 --> γ+γ It appears to work until you consider spin. Homework Equations a quick google search reveals that the spin of a photon is +1 and the spin of a pi meson is 0 The Attempt at a Solution This appears to work for...

    Wave speed for non-uniform density?

Under the water would be exactly the same as above. Through the water density has increased a lot but tension is scarcely changed so velocity will decrease? and above the water density would be low but tension would be very high because of the added mass so it speeds up?

    Wave speed for non-uniform density?

Ok but if T were tension at a point on the string and Y was how high up the point was, can I say T=mg*(Y/L) therefore v=sqrt((mg(Y/L))/(m/L))=sqrt(gY)

    Wave speed for non-uniform density?

Homework Statement A long rope with mass m = 10 kg is suspended from the ceiling and hangs vertically. A wave pulse is produced at the lower end of the rope and the pulse travels up the rope. (a) Explain why the speed of the wave pulse change as it moves up the rope; does it increase or...

    Collision problem, conservation of momentum

A particle of mass 3kg moving at 15ms^−1 collides with one of mass 2 kg moving at 5ms^−1 in the same direction. Calculate the velocities after the collision i. the collision is elastic. ii. Suppose that in the collision of part (i), the final velocities are not parallel to the initial...
