    I took some photos with my little Cannon "point and shoot", but it was just too bright, so I deleted them. But at least I got to see it. About 80% to 90% coverage here at my place in Kansas.

    I do, but the glasses are too dark to see the filament.

    Well, maybe it wasn't last year. Must have been back when there was a partial eclipse here. If your glasses are from 2017, then I'm not going to worry about it. ...Thanks

    I have a couple pairs of glasses I used back in '23, but I've heard (on TV news) that they wouldn't be safe now. Why is that?

    I can't afford an new machine. I am using FireFox though. I'm aware there are no security updates. I only use this machine for Chrome myyahoo.com email and to use here on PF.
