Did you know all of this in the 7th grade?

You are ahead of the curve. Don't burn out and you will go far.

Making the body of a RC helicopter from balsa wood

Balsa wood is a pretty common choice for making frames when you are making a DIY (heli/quad/octo) copter on the cheap. Two pieces of advice, watch your weight and make sure it is held together well. Make sure above all the thing is balanced.

Engineering What is RF engineering and what job opportunities does it offer?

That's actually something I am going to look into. Thanks man.

Engineering What is RF engineering and what job opportunities does it offer?

Now I have read all over that it is hard to get into RF engineering so I have to ask, exactly how hard is it to get into RF engineering and what should I focus what I study in my spare time on?

Engineering What is RF engineering and what job opportunities does it offer?

How advanced are we talking? I really do like math quite a lot and I don't mind having to study every night for the next 7 years to break into the field if the job security is worth it.

Engineering What is RF engineering and what job opportunities does it offer?

Erm, thank you but I am more interested in hearing from actual RF engineers than reading a Wiki on the subject.

    Transformers to step up voltage?

When you say you are using two transformers to step up voltage, are you talking about using two in series? Is it two transformers stepping up voltage from a shared 120v source? I'm a bit confused as to why you are using two transformers to step up voltage. Your post needs more details about...

Why can batteries be wired in series?

I posted this link in another thread but this question is so entry level that I think I will share it here as well. The answer to your current question can be found here: http://www.allaboutcircuits.com/

Why does circuit break when jumper inserted to power?

You could have found the answer to your question with a simple google search and a small bit of reading. I suggest you study what is offered at this site before asking any more questions. Start with direct current and work up from there. Also, shorting out a battery can be dangerous and lead to...

Engineering What is RF engineering and what job opportunities does it offer?

I am currently in college for a 2 year EET degree. Now, before you all jump onto me saying that it is not an engineering degree I already know this. I am using this time to make sure I am prepared for EE in a 4 year university. I am going to take cal 1-3, diff eq, linear algebra, calculus based...

Simple Solution to Railgun Power Requirement?

Is it possible to utilize enough shielding to minimize the range at which it can be detected?

How did you decide what career was right for you?

I'm the best in my class at PLCs so what I should do with my life was pretty much decided for me.

Basics to electrical components help for PLCs and uCs

PLCs are industrially hardened to be able to withstand high amounts of electrical noise. They're preferred for industrial settings and other harsh locations.

How can I prevent breakdown in my electrostatic generator's output wires?

Van De Graaff generators are easy ways to generate high voltages with practically no current. If you have the financial means you can easily generate one million or more volts with a VDG generator. It's basically static electricity generated from friction that is transported to a large metal...

Is Natural Mathematical Ability Required To Be A Physicist?

Innate ability does not mean all that much. Look at William Sidis, he had unreal potential yet he decided to become a clerk.
