I want an online physics BS help

It's an AS degree (associates in science), but it's a degree program that allows you to transfer to a 4-year school afterwards. Does the community college offer physics courses? The one I'm attending doesn't have a physics major either, but it does offer physics courses.

I want an online physics BS help

Do you have any community colleges nearby? You could enroll in a science transfer degree.

I want an online physics BS help

I don't think there is such a thing. Physics and chemistry courses require lab work.

Do I Effectively Have No Chance At a Physics Program Anymore?

I plan on contacting him over the weekend. At the community college I'm attending they offer Calculus 1-3, Differential Equations and Linear Algebra. Calculus 1-2 are required and the rest count as math electives in my degree program, so my plan is to take all of them while I'm there so I have...

Do I Effectively Have No Chance At a Physics Program Anymore?

My biggest fear right now is my adviser talking me out of a physics career path. Or he may just have me take a withdrawal in some of my courses to keep my GPA afloat so I can still attend school next semester.

I need a foolproof method of prioritizing schoolwork

The best time management advice I've heard is to first create a semester calendar. This lays out all of the assignments you need to complete for the semester (I recommend using Google Calendar for this). Then divide those assignments up into smaller, more manageable chunks. For example, if you...

Do I Effectively Have No Chance At a Physics Program Anymore?

I'm about halfway through my associates program in science and math. This semester I'm on academic warning and I fell behind on the material in the first two months. If I don't raise my GPA enough by the end of the semester I face a situation where I would have to sit out for at least a semester...

Writing Volume as a Function of Height for an Open Box

For a square the area would be the square of the side length. A= (24-2x)(24-2x) = 576-48x-48x+4x² = 4x²-96x+576 Would you cube the side length?

Writing Volume as a Function of Height for an Open Box

Homework Statement An open box of maximum volume is to be made from a square piece of material 24 centimeters on a side (24-2x) by cutting equal squares from the corners and turning up the sides. The table shows the volumes V (in cubic centimeters) of the box for various heights, x (in...

Masters or Ph.D for a Research Career?

Ideally, astrophysics would be my first choice but I'm being realistic at this point and moving onto my second and third choices. I'm just generally inquiring into the options I would have for a research job in physics with a masters degree alone or is there no such thing? I'm willing to do a...

Masters or Ph.D for a Research Career?

I'm still in lower division so I know this is jumping the gun, but I wanted to ask this now while I still have time to ponder. Originally my end goal was to get a Ph.D because I want to do research ideally in astrophysics, although I'm well aware that jobs in this field are few and far...

Is Rote Learning the Only Way to Effectively Memorize Complex Information?

I'm dealing with the same issue as you. My advice is to review the material everyday. Review it, then put your textbook and notes away and just write down everything you know about the subject you've just studied, as if you were writing a blog post. Being able to explain things in your own words...

Is it normal to forget most previously learned material?

Money is not the be-all, end-all of your life. If that's your only motivation for being in college then you're most likely going to quit and end up working at a low rate job paying off your debt. If you hate academia so much, but want to be rich then why not become a businessman? You seem to be...

Programs Keeping up with courses un-related to your major.

Make it an objective of the course to learn at least a couple of new things about that subject. That should keep you focused. As Turbo pointed out, your non-major courses are still valuable and they broaden your education. Becoming too specialized can be a detriment in the long term.
