That makes sense. These service experiences don't really relate to the graduate programs I am studying. I will just move them to the last section as Dishsoap suggested.
Thank you.
I have some community service experience but not very long in duration and is not related to my graduate direction (eg. I was tutoring Chinese for a semester). Should I still include it?
How detailed should the research experience be? For example, are things like "I developed a C algorithm to help the process of XXX?" worth mentioning? Or should this go to the Curriculum Vitae?
Thank you!:woot:

Great advice. I am finishing my undergraduate and I did some research already and am currently doing one.
If already have the details of my research experiences in the CV, what else could I say about these experiences in the PS?
Thank you!
I am not sure if I can write the ps in the form of a story-telling of how I became interested in the graduate field of study, which naturally talks about my research/other experience in the chronological order, or directly jump straight into chunks of paragraphs (of course with transitioning...
I did put effort into the work, made my poster at the end of the research experience, and so on, but I really doubt that I can write a decent paper to put into this ePrint archive because:
1. My work is a small portion of the whole grant. It simply involves one set of data with no statistical...
Eventually I will (I hope he meant it haha). Now it is just a waiting game for him and the other PI have a decent start on the actual paper for the whole grant.
This summer I did some research and had positive results but my part contributed to a small portion of the big grant. My PI told me we could submit to some "side" journals to get publications but I am not sure if this is necessary because the admission committees will see my poster I created...
