How Do I Calculate Uncertainty in Electrical Circuit Measurements?

ok, i think i may have discovered how to do some of these, except maybe this one : 1/Rtotal=1/R1 +1/R2 +1/R3

How Do I Calculate Uncertainty in Electrical Circuit Measurements?

uncertainty equations?? can anyone help me here I'm dying over this! we did a lab and tomorrow I'm handing in my report, the last thing i have to do is find the uncertainties for my data, but i don't know what the uncertainty equations are! for example, one equation is R=V/I, or Rtotal=R1+R2+R3...

What's the difference between these 2 graphs?

I have my original graph f, and I want to make 2 other graphs out of it (each with their own transformations.) g(x)=2g(1/2x+1) so it gets stretched vertically by 2, stretched horizontally by 2, goes left 1 and up 1. But my problem is with h(x)=2[g((x+1)/2)+1)] What are the transformations...

    Family of quadratic functions?

i don't know, now I'm lost:rolleyes: do you mean like a parabola? a linear line with a slope? how do i define the family? why can't i just sub in the known values of b and c: ax^2-x-1-a?

    Family of quadratic functions?

    woops, points= (1,0) and (-1,-2)

    Family of quadratic functions?

Really? Well first of all I put down the wrong 2 points (aorry, my fault) they should be (1,) and (-1,-2). I got 0=a+b+c and -2=a-b+c. I solved to get b=-1 and i think c=-1-a. I don't know how to continue!

    Family of quadratic functions?

This question has been killing me for days, : Give a family of quadratic functions of the form y=ax^2+bx+c, that passes through the following points: (1,1) and (2,0) I see how we can find the family, but how do we find the specific functions that pass through both those points? I tried making...

What is Integration? Help Understanding Symbols & Process

ok, so in one of my lectures our prof. showed us a graph, (that pretty much looked like an upside down parabola.) We had to find the area under the curve, and she told us we had to use integration. I'd never even heard of it before, and I don't understand what all the symbols mean, or how to use...

Car Speed: Find the Answer Here

that's what i thought at first too, but i tried doing it the other way, and using that 185, you take away the speed of the plane (-120), so 185-120 =65km/hr--- the speed of the car i guess?

Car Speed: Find the Answer Here

    Here's what i have: triangle xyz where x=sqrt12 (by using pyth.theorem), y=2, and z=4. dx/dt=? , dy/dt=0 , dz/dt=-160? x^2+y^2=z^2 x(dx/dt)+y(dy/dt)=z(dz/dt) since dy/dt=0: x(dx/dt)=z(dz/dt) *** This is where i get stuck again- i want dx/dt, but where do i put in the speed of the plane...

Car Speed: Find the Answer Here

    i'm not sure i understand- do i have enough information to sove if i know thta: a=2, da/dt=0 b=sqrt12, db/dt=? c=4, dc/dt= -160km/h then where do i use the speed of plane=120km?

Car Speed: Find the Answer Here

ok, here is what i thought, i used related rates: triangle with sides a (height of plane=2), b (sqrt12, found by pythag.theorem) and side c (hypotenuse, =4 km, ditsance from car-plane) c'=(sqrt12*120)/4 =104 then to find theta sintheta=2/4, theta = 30 degrees 104sin(30)=b' 51 km/h=b...

Car Speed: Find the Answer Here

A plane 2km high is flying at rate of 120 km/h due west and sees an oncoming car. The distance between them is 4km and is decresing at rate of 160 km/h. Find the speed of the car at this moment... I can't solve this! i guess the 4km is horizontal diatnce or else the plane and car would crash...
