That doesn't make sense, if your intelligent, you work hard, then you would have a high GPA. Thus not having an issue at all.
If your lazy but intelligent, then that makes more sense that you would have a low GPA.
It depends on what you'll be doing.
I know several friends working part time with IBM and taking 12 credits. Working 20 hour weeks.
They have class M W F, and no classes T TH so they put in the 20 hours T and TH, works out quite nice for them.
ugh that is horriable undrcvrbro, goodluck.
Remember college's are business's, the longer your in school, the more $$$ they get. They would love to place you in college algebra.
Thanks for posting FrogPad.
That's interesting.
I do agree, Google doesn't make Jets...yet. hahThe main reason I don't like IBM is a lot of people are unhappy. Unhappy enough to form their own alliances. If you google any other company, they don't have 1,000's of employee's trying to start...
I would agree with you Maxwell, but look at google.
Who wouldn't want to work for Google?
Do you see how much their employee's make?
Do you see all the benefits and cool perks the google employee's get?
Its INSANE to get in there, you have to be top of the top (usually).
Google has a ton of...
FrogPad,
I would agree with you but maybe this kid knew someone inside, he didn't have any work experience, had a 3.0 GPA, and is graduating this semester from Penn State so its not like its a super hardcore college like MIT or something (I also go to Penn State).
I do agree with you though, I...
I also found it odd that LM wasn't very competitive. Even for FULL TIME jobs.
My one friend is clueless on programming, I actually don't even know how he got through his Comp Sci degree frankly.
They asked him about 3 technical questions for a full time position that any high school student...
lulz;
:x
I never took a college placement exam.
They based on your SAT scores what you should start at.
They told me pre-calc I said f you.
So depending on the school, the entrance exams might not mean anything, might just say what they think you should be placed at, doesn't mean you have to...
Comp Sci you work very little with physics.
Of course you take the basic, mechanics, e&m, and maybe quantum but that's about it.
If you go into Comp Eng some more physics might be involved because you take EE as well.
There are no labs in Comp Sci which is nice! Actually there is...Digital...
My one friend just got offered 75k to work for cisco entry level, as a comp eng( working as a programmer) on the east coast and its not that expensive to live where he's at, not bad for a 4 year degree.
Thats the thing, I'm not really sure what type of programming I enjoy the most. I don't like low level stuff. I don't want to be doing any type of embedded systems programming.
I like to constantly work with cutting edge technology. I like to learn new things and keep my resume growing...
I'm not sure...I am the opposite, I hate researching and not interested in grad school. I enjoy software engineering not so much designing new algorithms.
Proof writing will come in handy if your designing new algorithms and have to formally prove the best case/worst case/average case etc
Depends on what your future goals are, grad school or not, software engineer or researcher, etc
As a freshman the Dean of Engineering told us double majoring is really over kill for most jobs in engineering. For someone who wants to get their PHD maybe not, but for someone just trying to get an engineering job, a double major isn't worth the hassle unless it really compliments what your...
Hello everyone.
I was wondering if anyone knew what a good time to start applying for full time positions.
I still have 3 semesters left (2 after this currently semester.)
I'm going to be interning either at Microsoft or IBM this summer depending on how well the m$ interview goes.
My...
