Other Going to Uni for astrophysics but I'm kind of scared

Pointing out the effort issue, I don't think I've been putting in my best, I concentrated a litttttle too much on my extra curriculars (was in 8 different things throughout the year). I want to ditch my tablet to study, exceot everything is online so I need it to study :'( Thankfully, I haven't...

Other Going to Uni for astrophysics but I'm kind of scared

Thank you so much for your advice! Now that I think about it, I do get 7-8 hours of sleep, except it doesn't feel like enough, and I think the carb filled diet I've had for some months now, is also to blame for my sleepiness. I guess I didn't completely screw up, I just wish I could start...

Other Going to Uni for astrophysics but I'm kind of scared

Hi! So, I made into all the unis I applied to, for astrophysics and astronomy, ended up choosing the one not as well ranked only because I made it into their concurrent education program with astrophysics, chose a professional program over a Bsc here. I'm scared, I love astronomy and physics but...

Schools I'm not sure which school to choose....

Thank you so much! I went through the undergraduate calendar for both universities and the things that waterloo has 4th year, york provides in 3rd but york concentrates more on space tech in 4th year for some reason. The waterloo 4th year courses are muuch more appealing I guess it'll only help...

Schools I'm not sure which school to choose....

I love calculus! If I was any good at advanced functions I would have loved to take math as a minor, but I hate advanced functions (or pre calc?) mostly because of the way it was presented and becausw it's boring. The problems in calculus are very interesting. I don't know if that makes sense...

Schools I'm not sure which school to choose....

Thank you so much! Maybe this year just isn't my year, considering it's not just physics but most of my courses in general and I've maintained an 89% all throughout high school except for this year :/. Sorry, if you don't mind me asking, how is undergrad physics? And would waterloo physics...

Schools I'm not sure which school to choose....

I received offers of admission from the 3 unis I applied to for physics and astronomy but I'm only choosing between two (Canada btw) one is top notch, one of the best in the country for my program and the other one is a liberal arts University, not prestigeous for the sciences but they have an...

Difference in flight time for two planes with different velocity profiles

Homework Statement ** sorry, answer in the book doesn't make sense ** A british concord and a French concord flew in opposite directions around the world, a distance of 40K km. The BC covered half its distance at 2500 km/h, and the other half at 1000km/h. The FC spent half its flight time at...

Testing Struggling with Math: My Experience in Grade 12 Advanced Functions

Hey, I'm in grade 12, taking advanced functions at the moment. I just wrote my last test of the year and flunked it. I understood the concepts really well, hell, this was the easiest test I've ever written, and I still managed to screw my self overcause of two stupid mistakes (not including...
