Solving for a, b, and c in this equation for $ revenue for a circus

I haven’t yet found a method to solve my equation, assuming it can be. So far I’ve just attempted trial and error, using variations of values. I figured either 60 or 80 children in order to get the high number but just haven’t been able to tweak it yet. Thanks

I Polygon Coordinates given the Area and Center point

Hmmm okay so bear with me as I try to understand .. So I would use the Center point as Point A of a right triangle, then I know Point B already, and I can calculate the last Point since I have area. Why would the area be 1/4 of what I have been given? A polygon isn’t 4 equal triangles right?

I Polygon Coordinates given the Area and Center point

I’m wondering if there is a formula for calculating the coordinate points of a polygon given the following - Center point is known - area is known - Point A is known - Points B, C, and D are UNKNOWN I am NOT a math pro - this is for a puzzle I’m trying to solve and I can’t remember if this...

Solving Sphere in Cone Problem w/Semivertical Angle

[SIZE=16px]A infinite herd of perfectly spherical cows of every possible real-valued radius is passing by a perfectly conical lake in single file line. Each cow swims in the lake and displaces a certain amount of water once it comes to rest flush against the sides of the lake. Depending on the...

Solving Sphere in Cone Problem w/Semivertical Angle

But we don’t know if the sphere is fully submerged in the water (in the cone) or part of it rests above water. Therefore the radius of the sphere wouldn’t be determined based on the cone triangle calculation?

Solving Sphere in Cone Problem w/Semivertical Angle

For example, let’s say the height of the cone is 1.5m and the semi vertical angle is 55 degrees?

Solving Sphere in Cone Problem w/Semivertical Angle

Thanks. So what do I do if I don’t know the radius?

Solving Sphere in Cone Problem w/Semivertical Angle

Help please - okay so I have a question and struggling here. I need to know the radius of the sphere and how much water it displaces. One sphere inside an inverted cone One sphere for which the maximum possible amount of water is displaced. The problem is I’m only given the height of the...
