Exploring the Physical Reality of Math

No, the Wigner article was pretty much exactly what I was looking for. I was referring to all the stuff I had previously read about it.

Exploring the Physical Reality of Math

Clearly. To be honest i was kind of hoping for a yes or no answer from someone who has already thought this through, because the internet is loaded with philosophical discussions on this but they tend to be very long and drawn out and not make any sense to me.

Exploring the Physical Reality of Math

Hey guys, quick question, I was wondering about this and thought maybe you guys would know. Do you think math is built into nature, or is it something we made up to describe the world around us? I'm a senior ME major and I've seen math all the way up through PDE's and such, but I still can't...

How to calculate a width of a crane, so it won't tip over

You're on the right track. You need a couple moment of (20ft)*(600lb) at the base of the crane to keep it in moment equilibrium. To get that couple moment you're going to need to use the reaction force and the distance between the legs. Don't forget to do a force balance too.

Dust Particle Moving with Air Drag

Hello everyone, This question isn't exactly a homework problem, but it's a problem I need to solve for my senior project, which is a particle image velocimetry system. I'm running into a nasty differential equation which is what I'm having trouble with. Homework Statement A 30 micron...
