Chemistry & Mechanics: Arm Expansion on Command

Like a stretchable antenna structure, i have an arm in my project and i want that arm to expand on command so i was thing what can be done for it ... I want to use chemistry this time so i was thinking following steps: if we chose an exothermic chemical reaction that can produce CO2 having...

I don't understand gauss's law for sheet surfaces

There are several mistakes... The E due to the point charges is in all directions in the 3D space, actually they are spherically symmetric and spread in all directions. Hence the fields are not only in x or y component, but also in z component. Considering the plane including the charges, the E...

How Does Superconductivity Allow for 0 Resistance?

I have very little knowledge of Quantum physics, but I have read that it says about probability wave of particles. What I understood through your post is that some how electrons flow through the vacancies present in the crystal of the material, and hence they avoiding collisions. Have i got it...

How Does Superconductivity Allow for 0 Resistance?

Superconductivity... awkward Superconductivity says that below certain temperature, certain materials offer 0 resistance to the current flowing through them... But how is this possible ? resistance offered is because of loss of kinetic energy of electrons due to collision with atoms' nuclei...

Rotational Motion and speed of a disc

yes ... but the direction of angular acceleration will make a difference, if its clockwise or anticlockwise, the final angle with the x-axis would be different in the two cases.

Rotational Motion and speed of a disc

... sorry ... yes ... you are correct . even i meant Δθ by θ. and yes ... your answer is correct.
  12. Z

Rotational Motion and speed of a disc

Well ... why u added 1 to θ in the (c) part ? the formula simply says- θ=ωot + αt2 and ωo is initial rotational velocity... and since disk was at rest at t=0 so ωo = 0 rest all is correct.

Put some light on my concept of light.

In the way we represent an electromagnetic wave (click on http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/4c/Electromagneticwave3D.gif) we limit the magnetic field vector and electric field vector till the limit of the amplitude of the wave. But how is it possible ? because, Magnetic and INDUCED...
