I cultivate a strong interest in astrophysics. Can anyone suggest me texts for learning astrophysics?

I would recommend Gravity's Fatal Attraction, written by the British Astronomer Royal is gives an excellent description of many areas of astrophysics - not just black holes.

Frank Shu's "The Physical Universe - An Introduction to Astronomy" is a great overview of Astrophysics. It's a little out of date, but I still recommend it.
