I am currently reading, and thoroughly enjoying, "A Tour of the Calculus", by David Berlinski. This book was given to me by a friend who felt Berlinski's prose was too rich. He also claimed to have noticed several "major" mathematical errors in the book. I asked him to elaborate, however, he said it had been so long since he had read the book that he was not able to recall anything specific.
I do not intent to stop reading the book based on his opinion, however, I wanted to ask if anyone here is able to relate to him. I personally am enjoying his style. Though he may seem to get lost in his own metaphors at times, I still find him very amusing.
Thoughts?
