Hi everybody. I would like to know the value of vapour pressure of plexiglas (PMMA) at ambiant temperature. For the time being I've not found that characteristic on the net.
Plexiglas (PMMA) is a polymer made from the monomer methyl methacrylate (MMA). It also contains other additives to improve its properties.
Vapour pressure is the pressure exerted by the vapour of a substance in equilibrium with its liquid or solid form at a specific temperature. It is a measure of the tendency of a substance to evaporate.
The vapour pressure of Plexiglas (PMMA) can be determined experimentally by measuring the pressure inside a sealed chamber containing a known amount of PMMA and heating it at a specific temperature. The pressure is then measured using a pressure gauge.
The vapour pressure of Plexiglas (PMMA) is affected by temperature, pressure, and the presence of other substances such as additives. Generally, the higher the temperature and pressure, the higher the vapour pressure will be.
The vapour pressure of Plexiglas (PMMA) is important in understanding its behaviour in different environments. It can affect its durability, stability, and potential for evaporation or degradation. It is also important in industrial applications such as in the production and handling of PMMA products.
