In summary: I screamed like a little girl and the animal control guy threw the bag over the cat's head and squeezed. The cat went limp in the bag. It was one of the scariest things I've ever done, but I made it out unscathed. So I'm not exactly scared of cats, but I am definitely cautios about getting scratched by them. In summary, Moonbear was telling the story of how her cat Ember is doing, and how she is going through the terrible twos now. She also mentions how Ember is teaching her how to throw around kitty litter, and how the stray cat that had kittens a few

Five foster kittens I had earlier this year doing what they do most of the time, when they're not playing, eating, or pooping.

@JT Smith those are some nice tabby striped cats. I would have a hard time telling them apart.

Bar codes indeed. Their stripes were not identical. The eyes of one them was rounder plus she was physically smaller. The thickness of the fur and the overall shade differed between the kittens. The way they moved and behaved was also telling. I learned to see those differences.

My previous foster gig was a black mom and 7 black kittens. That was a lot harder, basically impossible in their first few weeks. But even with them I eventually got to where I could usually tell who was who.

My little Tike when she was just a youngster. Why name a female Little Tike? We got her at only 3 weeks and thought she was a male. Whoops!

In this photo, I had just bathed and dried her.

You... bathe your cat??

Actually, it looks like she's in a washing machine or tumble dryer along with your socks and mittens. :oldeek:

Yes, she is in the dryer. And I do bathe her but as little as possible. It takes weeks to get all the cat hair out of my tongue.

When we were still back on the property, Little Tike often caught a snake, brought it into my office, and let it go. :headbang: I then had to catch and remove it. And then I had to be sure she didn't see where I took it, or she would go catch it and bring it back again! This is me removing one from my office - about a six-footer as I recall.

Good one! Perhaps this tool would be of use to you:

https://www.sadanduseless.com/fake-tongue/I usually end up bleeding whenever I have to wash a kitten that has messed itself. Definitely wouldn't use my tongue for that. Maybe the washing machine on gentle cycle?

It doesn't work for me. I get: "An error occurred. Please try again later."

(Geez I hate uninformative error messages like that, but they seem to be growing more and more common.)

I checked, and you have something on file about being scared of kittens. Hence the AI is just trying to protect you. FYI...
