In summary, there is a lack of good family comedy in today's entertainment industry. The comedians of the past, such as The Three Stooges, Jack Benny, Bob Hope, and Red Skelton, were masters of their craft. However, today's comedians often resort to using profanity and sexual content in their acts, instead of learning from the comedic legends before them. While originality is important, there is a lot of crude and vulgar material in modern comedy.

Good Family Comedy is a Rarety today. I miss Comedians like The three Stooges, Jack Benny, Bob Hope, Red Skelton and many others. They were absolute Masters of Comedy. Todays' Comedians just don't get it. They fill their Acts with profanity, Sex, etc. Too bad they didn't learn anything from the Masters.

They did, and they don't want to be 'copycats' so, originality helps...but I would agree that there is lots of rather nasty stuff out there, crude, rude, and vulgar...

I completely agree that good, clean comedy seems to be a rarity in today's entertainment industry. It's a shame that many comedians feel the need to rely on shock value and explicit content to get a laugh. The comedians you mentioned, like The Three Stooges, Jack Benny, and Bob Hope, were true masters of their craft and were able to make audiences laugh without resorting to crude humor. They understood the importance of appealing to all ages and keeping their comedy clean and relatable. It's a shame that modern comedians don't seem to have the same level of skill and understanding of what truly makes for great comedy. I too miss the days of wholesome family comedy and hope that we will see a return to it in the future.
