I am very interested in the field of mechatronics. I am currently going to school at Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, MI working toward a dual degree in electrical and mechanical engineering. The university is also developing a Master of Mechatronics program, which is supposed to debut in the spring and is one of the few available in the United States. This means that there are a number of 500 level mechatronics courses available that I could take as an undergraduate. I have 5 EE/ME technical electives avalable that I could use to take mechatronics courses.
However, what other graduate programs are available in mechatronics? Also, does anyone know of any good mechatronics undergraduate research positions available for the summer. I talked to the campus expert on mechatronics and he said all of the mechatronics research programs are outside of the United States. Also, grant money at my university isn't available yet, but he told me that hopefully it will be available soon.
So, basically, I ask for general guidance regarding getting into the field of mechatronics.
Thanks.
