In summary, a new version of Physics Forums, PF 4.0, is set to launch in a couple months and will bring changes to the website. More information will be shared as the launch date approaches.

Code:
[PLAIN]http://chemwiki.ucdavis.edu/Theoretical_Chemistry/Symmetry/Matrix_representations_of_groups
[/PLAIN]

I don't think it should be clickable. Also, if I right-click and choose "copy link location", this ends up in my clipboard:

[noparse]http://api.viglink.com/api/click?format=go&jsonp=vglnk_jsonp_14075106947076&key=6afc78eea2339e9c047ab6748b0d37e7&libId=fcdc518e-5e22-4f3e-82c7-d9ab78f7c78e&loc=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.physicsforums.com%2Fnewthread.php%3Fdo%3Dpostthread%26f%3D19&v=1&type=U&out=http%3A%2F%2Fchemwiki.ucdavis.edu%2FTheoretical_Chemistry%2FSymmetry%2FMatrix_representations_of_groups&ref=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.physicsforums.com%2Fnewthread.php%3Fdo%3Dpostthread%26f%3D19&title=Physics%20Forums%20-%20Post%20New%20Thread&txt=http%3A%2F%2Fchemwiki.ucdavis.edu%2FTheoretical_Chemistry%2FSymmetry%2FMatrix_representations_of_groups[/noparse]

Is it supposed to be like this? I used noparse tags here to prevent the software from shortening the URL. Note that the first line is clickable, but the link is broken.

I think you're right on both accounts.

Won't be a problem in a couple months :)

Related to Links between code or noparse tags (maybe a bug)

1. What are code and noparse tags in coding?

Code and noparse tags are used in coding to indicate that the text within them should be treated as code and not be parsed as HTML. This ensures that any special characters or symbols within the code are not interpreted as HTML code.

2. How do code and noparse tags affect the functionality of a website?

If code and noparse tags are used correctly, they should not affect the overall functionality of a website. However, if they are not used properly, they can cause issues with the display of the code or other elements on the page.

3. Are there any common bugs or errors associated with code and noparse tags?

Yes, there are some common bugs and errors that can occur when using code and noparse tags. These include missing closing tags, incorrectly nested tags, and using code and noparse tags on the wrong elements.

4. How can I troubleshoot issues with code and noparse tags?

If you are experiencing problems with code and noparse tags, the first step is to double-check that they are being used correctly and that there are no typos or missing tags. You can also use a code validator tool to check for any errors in your code.

5. Can code and noparse tags be used for all programming languages?

No, code and noparse tags are specific to HTML and should not be used for other programming languages. Different languages may have their own ways of indicating that certain text should be treated as code, so it's important to use the correct syntax for the language you are using.
