Other options for questions could include ANOVA, logistic regression, or contingency tables, as long as they come from a peer-reviewed journal article published within the last 5 years and can be answered by the student. In summary, for a final exam in stat, a peer-reviewed journal article from the past 5 years must be used to find a question involving regression analysis or other statistical methods, and the student must be able to answer the question.

I've looked high and low for a peer-reviewed journal question (a question contained in a peer-reviewed journal article) that has been published in the last five years which involves regression analysis with an accompanying dataset.
The question has to be submitted for my final exam in stat. The question can also be an ANOVA related question, a logistic regression question, or a question that concerns contingency tables. The questions just have to come out of a peer-reviewed journal article in the past 5 years and I have to be able to answer the question as well.
Any assistance would be great.

One example of a regression analysis question from a peer-reviewed journal within the past 5 years would be: "Are there any differences in the slope and intercept of a linear regression model fitted to predict the mean annual temperature of a region when using meteorological data from different time periods?" The accompanying dataset would contain meteorological data from different time periods.

FAQ: Peer-Reviewed Journal Question w/ Dataset needed

1. What is a peer-reviewed journal?

A peer-reviewed journal is a type of academic publication where articles are evaluated by a panel of experts in the field before being accepted for publication. This process helps ensure the quality and accuracy of the research being presented.

2. How is a peer-reviewed journal different from other types of publications?

Unlike popular magazines or newspapers, peer-reviewed journals go through a rigorous review process where experts in the field critically evaluate the research methods, results, and conclusions presented in the article. This helps ensure that the information published is reliable and credible.

3. Why is it important to use peer-reviewed journals for research?

Using peer-reviewed journals for research ensures that the information being used is accurate and reliable. It also allows for the integration of new and groundbreaking research into the existing body of knowledge in a particular field.

4. What is a dataset and why is it needed for a peer-reviewed journal?

A dataset is a collection of data, often in the form of numbers or statistics, that is used to support the research presented in a peer-reviewed journal. It allows for transparency and reproducibility of the results, making it easier for other researchers to build upon the findings.

5. How can I access datasets for a peer-reviewed journal article?

Datasets can often be found in the supplementary materials of a peer-reviewed journal article. They can also be obtained by contacting the authors directly or by searching for publicly available datasets through research databases or data repositories.
