Just got into Horizon Zero Dawn (PC)

Many, many wonderful ideas in that game. What sticks out most immediately is how a society which needs to deal with an infestation of large, occasionally hostile autonomous machines whose only common weakness is an inability to fly will "naturally" develop "structural engineering" that resembles Outward Bound ropes courses, AKA perfect platforming game levels.

The player could be tasked with navigating these courses, while also dealing with the machines and the environment. There could be a variety of strategies for dealing with the machines, ranging from using the course structure to your advantage, to using items found in the environment, to using weapons.

The game could also feature an interesting narrative, as the player is trying to help their society survive the infestation. The player's choices could impact how the story plays out, as they must decide who they want to help and how they want to help them. Perhaps there are some people who are willing to take drastic measures to rid the world of the machines, while others may be willing to find a way to live in harmony. It would be interesting to explore all the different possibilities.

Additionally, the game could feature a variety of interesting puzzles and challenges. For example, the player might need to figure out how to use the environment to their advantage or how to use certain items to create a distraction or lure the machines away.

Overall, this concept has a lot of potential and could make for a really fun, unique game.
