AI Thread Summary
The financial committee approved an appeal for extending financial aid, but the individual has already given up on this due to exceeding 150% of their credits. They requested to enroll in Intermediate Spanish and Calculus 3, but classes have already started, making registration impossible. They have applied to transfer to the University at Buffalo, which does not require an A.A. degree for admission. Suggestions include contacting the registrar or professors to discuss the possibility of enrolling in closed classes, as there may be flexibility for students in need. The individual has already submitted their application to UB and received a contact number, and they learned they might not need to fulfill the foreign language requirement for transfer.

The financial committee approved my appeal but its too late. I've already gave up on their answer to help extend my financial aid because I went over 150% of my credits. The classes I need were Intermediate Spanish and asked them to give me calc 3. They agreed to give me both of these classes, however; classes has already started and there's no more to register.

I already turned in an application as a transfer student to University at Buffalo along with my final transcript. Should I tell them that it was too late to help me now?

EDIT:

I forgot to mention that its only to get an A.A. degree and the university at Buffalo does not require an A.A. to transfer. I already have 95 credits from the community college.

Try talking to the registrar or the professors of the classes. They might let an extra student in if you explain the situation. That is, if you're not dead-set on transferring.

At my school, even if the classes say they're closed sometimes they leave a few spots open for students who need them in that major. If you talk to someone, I'm sure they might be able to help out given the circumstances.

Agree with the above posters.

The computer system does not know your special circumstances. Talk to an actual person in the registrars office or with the professors for the courses. You still have options, but you need to talk to a real person.

I already sent everything required at UB and they gave me a person's number. Also, I heard that I can dodge the foreign language requirement courses because getting n A.A. is not required for this university. Any thoughts on that?

Bit Britain-specific but I was wondering, what's the best path to take for A-Levels out of the following (I know Y10 seems a bit early to be thinking about A-levels, but my choice will impact what I do this year/ in y11) I (almost) definitely want to do physics at University - so keep that in mind... The subjects that I'm almost definitely going to take are Maths, Further Maths and Physics, and I'm taking a fast track programme which means that I'll be taking AS computer science at the end...
After a year of thought, I decided to adjust my ratio for applying the US/EU(+UK) schools. I mostly focused on the US schools before, but things are getting complex and I found out that Europe is also a good place to study. I found some institutes that have professors with similar interests. But gaining the information is much harder than US schools (like you have to contact professors in advance etc). For your information, I have B.S. in engineering (low GPA: 3.2/4.0) in Asia - one SCI...
I'm going to make this one quick since I have little time. Background: Throughout my life I have always done good in Math. I almost always received 90%+, and received easily upwards of 95% when I took normal-level HS Math courses. When I took Grade 9 "De-Streamed" Math (All students must take "De-Streamed" in Canada), I initially had 98% until I got very sick and my mark had dropped to 95%. The Physics teachers and Math teachers talked about me as if I were some sort of genius. Then, an...
