When did I say that Wicca and Witchcraft are the same thing? Buckland was obviously not speaking of Wicca. Wicca was founded by Gerald Gardner in the 1940's. If I'm doing the math correctly, that wouldn't predate Christianity.
Witchcraft is actually a religion, not a practice. "Magick" in Witchcraft is basically just prayer. I'd consider voodoo to be just a collection of superstitions. As for "black magic"...I certainly don't take it seriously.

I won't be encountering it for a few more semesters, but from what I hear it's pretty intense. I can't wait:smile:
I don't see how he was "factoring x from 0 ". Anyway, It wouldn't be hard to construct a proof that shows that the equation x^{x}=x is only valid for 0 and 1. So...
0^{0}=0
1^{1}=1

mathelord, this is all pretty trivial. What is it that's confusing you? If you "have nothing and you raise it to nothing", then you don't have anything to exponentiate! You don't "eventually" get nothing, it was always nothing.
I saw a thread like this some time ago, but thought I'd start another just for fun. List your top 5 favorite mathematicians. These don't necessarily have to be who you feel are the "best", but just the five that you have the most respect for or interest in. Here's my five:
1. Gauss
2. Euler

Unless I'm missing something, your given value for cos x is incorrect. Any value of the cosine function is in a way "stuck" between -1 and 1.
Use a calculator and take the cosine of any degree/radian measure you wish, it will always be between -1 and 1.
