Help factoring x^2-x+1/x+1 -1/2
I think I got it, common deno is 2(x+1), which gives you 2x^2-3x+1/2(x+1) and that factors into (x-1)(2x-1)/2(x+1) Right?- Bigo75

Proving the Limit of a Reciprocal Function
ok I understand this definition but how does that help me get lim as x goes to a of 1/f(x)=0? This definition will help me prove another one I was having trouble with. thank you.- Bigo75

Proving the Limit of a Reciprocal Function
Since the limit is equal to infinity I took an M greater than zero such that X>M implies |F(x)-L| is less than epsilon but I get confused with the one over F(x)=0- Bigo75

Solve Homework: lim as x-1+ of 2^1/x-1=infinity
Homework Statement A) lim as x-1 of x^2-x+1/x+1 =1/2 B)lim as x-0 of x^2 sin(1/x)=0 C) lim as x-1+ of 2^1/x-1=infinity Homework Equations By delta-epsilon proofs The Attempt at a Solution A) I took |f(x)-l| and could not factor out an x-1 B) I know that x^2 goes to 0 and...- Bigo75

Proving the Limit of a Reciprocal Function
Homework Statement Prove: If the Lim as x goes to a of F(x)=infinity, then lim as x goes to a of 1/F(x)=0 Homework Equations We have only gone over limits and continuity using delta epsilion proofs.- Bigo75
