The Power of Circulating Light: Optical Force Explained

In the context of the article "optical force" would be analogous to "electrical energy" Or, the amount of light something gives off aka "luminescence"

If it was electrons we would call that Voltage. So I guess for the light force they could give it any name they want.

The Power of Circulating Light: Optical Force Explained

Ok -- I read it briefly... Just think of a transistor. Transistors do this with electrons. Apparently this one uses light instead of electricity -- photons. Interesting -- in quantum physics experiments photons and electrons can be used interchangeably usually. I guess this light-transistor...

Backreaction from Hawking radiation may prevent formation of event horizon?

I'm new here but here I go... Ok folks, listen. We all know that black holes are real. We know that there is one at the center of every galaxy including our own. We know that when an object becomes smaller than its Schwarzschild radius, a black hole is formed. We also all know there is no...

What prevents a star from collapsing after stellar death?

"What prevents a star from collapsing after stellar death?" If an object becomes smaller than its Schwarzschild radius, then it will collapse into a black hole. If not, then it won't. That's really all there is to it.
