is there are a way I can do it from Fourier synthesis using a version of the code
for i =1:n (N = no of harmonics)
y = y + p(n)*cos(2*pi*n*f*t)
end
where P(n) is the power and f is the fundamental frequency
Hi I wanted to check how to do a Fourier synthesis to recreate a signal from a frequency spectrum. So I basically have the frequency spectrum so I have the power of the fundamental frequency and the harmonics. Is there a way I can do a synthesis to create a time signal?
Well At x = A So I am guess that the maximum acceleration is 2*pi*freq*distance and in the Y axis it would be when x = A y = 0? so it wouldn't experience maximum acceleration in the y direction?
Thank you. Well I intend to work out initial velocity by working out how long it take to get from one wall to the other. However, after impact I know it will deceleration but by how much I'm not sure. The wall is a hard surface.
Hi there,
I am confused. I want to work out the acceleration that a body placed on a wheel of radius 10 mm going at a frequency of 3Hz would experience in the x y and z axis. The equations for rotation don't make this clear. They just give me one basic equation for acceleration
Can you...
PS Am I able to simple assume constant velocity as the disc approaches the wall, ie distance of the surface/time taken to travel from one end to the other?
I have a surface that has minimal to no friction and I have used an elastic band to set my disc off from one end of the surface to the other. It crashes into the wall the other side and rebounds. How can I work out the acceleration. Am I right in assuming that at first the disc travels at a...
Well we would also like to see how far off the actual value it is. It is not a definite consideration but osmething that we would ideally like to know also.
The other option I was thinking about was putting the accelerometer on a toy car and rolling it down a slide however, again I'm not sure how to work out the acceleration that would be experienced
Ps so in the string experiment the accelerometers should be measuring the tension in the string counteracting free fall hence if it is let go from 45 degree it should be gx(cos45)?
Thanks so much for your help. I see what you are saying about the string. The trouble is I don't know where I can get a horizonal wheel that I can alter the speed of at will.
Hi there,
Well I was given a protractor and a piece of string so I suppose I could always do a simple experiment of fastening the accelerometer to the piece of string and allowing it to swing from different angles. So then for example if I allowed it to drop from 45 the maximum reading I should...
Hi there I want to come up with an experiment to test two accelerometers to see how much they vary. I was thinking about dropping them each from a height but I am unsure how I could then work out what values I should be getting. Also does it matter what height I drop them from as I realize it...
