Line Integral: Evaluating Along Circular Path from P1 to P2

oh sorry i thought it was there E= (x) x - (y) y variables in the paranthesis refers to the direction. i still need to express dl somehow.

Line Integral: Evaluating Along Circular Path from P1 to P2

Homework Statement Evaluate the line integral along the segment P1(0,3) to P2(-3,0) of the circular path shown in figure. Figure basically shows a circle with a radius of 3. The part that i have to evaluate is from the y-axis (P1) to the x-axis (P2), basically a quarter of the circle...

    Is the function f(m, n) = m^2 + n^2 one-to-one?

ok since both f(3,2) and f(2,3) points to the same element in the range this function is not one-to-one. We also showed that f(m,n) = f(n,m) does not implies n = m which is basically the same thing. i think I am right this time? ^^ Thanks a lot

    Is the function f(m, n) = m^2 + n^2 one-to-one?

oh right, it doesn't implies that m = n; f(3,2) is equal to f(2,3) but with different values of m and n. By the way one to one means if whenever f (a) = f (b) then a = b? so that the every element in domain points to a single unique element in range.

    Is the function f(m, n) = m^2 + n^2 one-to-one?

how so? f(m,n) = f(n,m) implies that m=n ? in this case the function should be one-to-one? or am i missing something?

    Is the function f(m, n) = m^2 + n^2 one-to-one?

so does that proves that the function is one-to-one?

    Is the function f(m, n) = m^2 + n^2 one-to-one?

    they are equal since; m^2 +n^2 = n^2 + m^2 ?

    Is the function f(m, n) = m^2 + n^2 one-to-one?

Hey; im kind of stuck with the following question, i would be glad if you can help Homework Statement Determine if the function f : Z x Z --> Z defined by f(m, n) = m^2 + n^2 is one-to-one. Homework Equations if F(x1) = F(x2) implies x1=x2 then the function is one to one...

    Multiple charges and coulombs law

Hello there; Why don't you start with drawing a diagram and placing the charges into positions, after you do that consider the E as a vectorial value which affects the charged with the inverse proportional square of radius. So while doing your calculations take note that the values are...

The diffrent frictions and how they apply in life.

Not really Hazzard, Static friction is a type of friction that only acts on resting objects, and it is always bigger than kinetic friction.. (have you ever did calculations in the class about friction force acting on a moving object? if yes say so) To make it more clear for you...

Speed of a rocket between 2 asteroids

Hello there iirreeek! First i have to suggest you to draw a force diagram, why?.It is because the gravitational force between astoreids and the ship is the thing that is going to put millenium falcon* oops eagle ;) into motion, obviosly it is going to be a motion with acceleration since there...

How do you calculate the electric field and voltage for a charged sphere?

Ok that makes sense except 2 points; First how are we going to find the formula for the other situation, what do we need to change? Second one; For the situation, R<r<infinity , this actually means the point we are considering is somewhere out of the sphere. Are you saying that the E...

Why is the Electron's Momentum Higher in Special Relativity?

Well it is true but there is something that is not fully clear here; Statement C is also right, if an object is not close to the speed of light the change in its mass can be neglectible,it is just so little. But it is still appliable. So i guess the answer is A but in my opinion statement C...
