    Help with an electrostatic problem

ok i got it right. i wasn't taking the absolute value of the charges, which was causing me to get the wrong answer.

    Help with an electrostatic problem

no i don't know the answer, i have to type them in online, and then it tells me if I'm right or wrong. the thing is, that i have done the same calculations with the entire number, not in scientific form, i pretty much put them that way in this thread for the sake of saving time writing long...

    Help with an electrostatic problem

ok I typed in 2.4x10^4 instead of 2.4x10^5. 2.4x10^5 is not right though. is there anything in the rest of my work that you can see is wrong? thanks

    Help with an electrostatic problem

Hi I cannot get this problem for the life of me and I have no idea why Four charges q1 = q3 = -q and q2 = q4 = +q, where q = 5 µC, are fixed at the corners of a square with sides a = 1.3 m Calculate the x- and y-components of the net electric field at the midpoint M of the bottom side of...

What Time Does a Projectile Make a 30° Angle with the Horizontal?

oh my fault i meant to put Vy=Vxysin30-gt i don't know why i put that

What Time Does a Projectile Make a 30° Angle with the Horizontal?

Hi i really do not know how to do this. any help is much appreciated. thanks! Homework Statement A projectile is shot out at 45° with respect to the horizon with an initial velocity of Vx = Vy = Vxy. When is the earliest time, t, that the velocity vector makes an angle of 30° with respect to...

Solving for Tension in an Inclined Plane System with Two Connected Blocks

ok would the equation be ma+mgsin30=T? I'm not entirely sure. and then how do i know what the acceleration is? thanks

Solving for Tension in an Inclined Plane System with Two Connected Blocks

ok well on mass 1 i got the normal force going up, mgcos30 going down, tension going to the right and mgsin30 going left. on mass 2 i got tension up and mg down. so this would mean that T=mgsin30 or T=mg, but those are not right. there's something else that i am not seeing

Solving for Tension in an Inclined Plane System with Two Connected Blocks

i believe that if the mass isn't moving, its net force is 0 because there is no acceleration. I'm just not sure what to use as my equations. this type of problem has always confused me for whatever reason.

Solving for Tension in an Inclined Plane System with Two Connected Blocks

hi i cannot seem to figure this problem out at all. any help is appreciated. A 30 kg block (M1) is placed on a frictionless plane that inclines at a 30° angle with respect to the surface of Earth. This block is connected to another 20 kg block (M2) via a weightless rope over a frictionless...
