My PhD involved high temperature and pressure lab studies on the role of water in silicate glasses (as an analog to magmas). Many years later, I did a BMath (just for "fun"). I now have time to pursue other interests, or will do when I wind up long-standing industry committee commitments on oil and gas resource evaluation and classification. I am looking for a "meaty" technical project to pursue and am in the early stages of looking at the entropy of granular materials (such as rocks).
