How Much 235U is Used in a 2700MW Fission Reactor? Answer in kg/day
lol "2700MW = 2.7 E9 J/s" ---- Got that! "200 Mev = 200E6 * 1.6E-19 J = 3.2E-11 J" ------- Got that! "This gives you the number of U235 fissions/second and so per day - that you need to make to generate that amount of power." --- what does -- dividing 2.7e9J/s by 3.2e-11?? i am...- desibabu90

How Much 235U is Used in a 2700MW Fission Reactor? Answer in kg/day
ok i am still not getting the answer... So this is what I am doing... http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/1023/webass.png after that i don't know how to factor avagadro's number...so i just straight out multiply or do i need to use the molar mass. if i use the molar mass then the kgs cancel...- desibabu90

How Much 235U is Used in a 2700MW Fission Reactor? Answer in kg/day
A fission reactor operates at 2700 MW level. Assume all this energy comes from the 200 MeV released by fission caused by thermal neutron absorption by 235U. At what daily rate is the mass of 235U used? (In practice, of course, the energy conversion is not 100% efficient, nor is all the 235U in a...- desibabu90

Line Integral + Potential Difference Problem Need
ok.. so got r's canceling out, and trigs just turn into .4*(1/{\sqrt{2}}) once you dot them. so will the integral be just - \int .4*(1/{\sqrt{2}}) d\theta & for the bounds for part b would it be from 1 to 2 or arctan(2.74/5.7) to arctan(4.9/4) thanx for ur help- desibabu90

Line Integral + Potential Difference Problem Need
Homework Statement The cyclotron is a device for accelerating charged particles. It requires changing electric fields and a magnetic field, but it can be modeled using (non-physical) static electric fields and potentials as we will do in this problem. Keep in mind that these fields cannot...- desibabu90

How Does an Electric Field Affect Electron Motion?
[SOLVED] Electric Field Problem Homework Statement At some instant the velocity components of an electron moving between two charged parallel plates are Vx = 1.5E5 m/s and vy = 1.8E3 m/s. Suppose that the electric field between the plates is given by E = (140 N/C) j. (a) What is the...- desibabu90
