Calculating Strength of Hollow Shaft with Notch & Holes
Hi all, I have a hollow shaft of 2" outside dia to 1.25" inside dia, about 1.5 ft in length.I also have a notch going around the outside periphery of the shaft. The shaft also has 2 holes drilled tranversely through the shaft The shaft will be rotating and will have torsion and probably...- elmariachi

Calculating Angular Acceleration of a Shaft
I have a shaft with radius "r" running at a certain RPM. how can i determine the angular acceleration of the shaft. Do i need any other parameters as well? Can i say that the angular acceleration can be (w^2*r), w is the angular velocity, r being the radius. thanks- elmariachi

Terminal velocity in spray dryer
I am working on a problem involving spray dryers. The material to be dryed would be injected through a centrifugal disk with spherical multiple openings of about 0.5 mm in diameter. Hot air would be blown from the dryer's bottom part. I was wondering how can I approach the problem to find out...- elmariachi
