Electromagnetism -- induced EMF
Please help :) I'm just trying to grasp the whole ... induced EMF concept ... please, anyone?! Also ... breaking the field lines?
I was wondering if anyone would be willing to walk me through a few problems to help prepare me for a quiz tomorrow over Coulomb's law. It'd be of great appreciation if anyone would/could help me!
The first problem:
Betelgeuse, one of the brightest stars in the constellation of Orion, has...
Bonny Blair skated 5.00 x 10^2 m with an average speed of 12.92 m/s. Suppose she corssed the finish line at this speed and then skated freely until her speed was 8.00 m/s. If her was mwas 55.0 kg, how much work was done by friction?
Can anybody explain the kinetic energy theorem or help me...
The deepest mine ever drilled has a depth of 12.3km. Suppose you drop a rock w/ a mass of 120.g down the shaft of this mine. What would the rock's kinetic energy be after falling 3.2km? What would the potential energy associated w/ the rock be at that same moment? Assume no air resistance & a...
The largest watermelon ever grown had a mass of 118 kh. SUppose this watermelon is exhibited on a platform 5.00 m above the ground. After the exhibition, the watermelon is allowed to slide to the ground along a smooth ramp. How high above the ground is the watermelon at the moment its kinetic...
Alright - i have a huge physics test on tuesday and certainly need TONS of help w/ this stuff - i have a really hard time visualizing what it is that we are calculating. So now, we were just introduced to the conservation of mechanical energy - so i was wondering if there's anyone out there that...
Maybe I just need to learn how to become more confident with this stuff ... but I just can't visualize it very well ... any suggestions as to how I can start to really visualize this stuff more? One final question for the time being ... how do I convert from MJ to J?
Heh .. this is just the first problem of my homework that I entirely DO NOT understand ...
In 1994, Leroy Burrell of the US set what was then a new world record for the me's 100 m run. He ran the 1.00 X 10^2 m distance in 9.85s. Calculate burrelll's kinetic energy, assuming that he ran w/ a...
Kinetic Energy -- Major Help Needed
I'm not even looking for answers ... just for somebody who is really willing to help me out here because I definitely do not understand ANY of this stuff that we're doing right now. Any body, please?
