Finding the Angle to Hit a Window 10m Away and 5m High

you should write how horizontal and vertical distances depend on t, then express t from one equation (horizontal makes it easier), and put it in other.

How far does light penetrate water?

from Maxwell equations and Ohm's law you can derive that conducting materials have complex index of refraction. The solution for propagating wave (exp(i*omega*x/c, where c is c_0/n) then gets a damping factor from the complex part of n. So you can easily find that depth. Complex part of n...

How to Calculate Magnetic Flux Through a Loop from an Infinite Wire?

forget about that line integral, you need the surface one. From figure it should be clear why differential surface area (rectangle in figure) is as I wrote in one of previous posts.

How to Calculate Magnetic Flux Through a Loop from an Infinite Wire?

that your flux is called electric current :) glad we cleard that.

How to Calculate Magnetic Flux Through a Loop from an Infinite Wire?

your path integral is zero, since differential path element is perpendicular to magnetic field, of course, because there is no electric current through the loop, as states Ampere law. Your path integral gives total current through the loop which is zero of course. You don't get it right.

How to Calculate Magnetic Flux Through a Loop from an Infinite Wire?

the field is not perpedicular to the normal of the surface! they have both the same direction. You should see that.

How to Calculate Magnetic Flux Through a Loop from an Infinite Wire?

I disagree with you gabbagabbahey also. He is looking for flux as naresh said.

How to Calculate Magnetic Flux Through a Loop from an Infinite Wire?

you don't really need any vectors, since area withing the loop and field are perpedicular. Differential area da is: dA = \sqrt{a^2+(\rho-b)^2} d\rho Maybe I should sketch this, but I hope you understand that.

Induction and Fundamental Theorem of Calculus for Bounded Linear Operators

    you should use integration by parts to integrate V_{n+1}f(t) = \int_a^t \frac{(t-s)^n}{n!} f(s) \mbox{d}s try with \frac{(t-s)^n}{n!} = u , f(s)= dv It works for me.

How to Calculate Magnetic Flux Through a Loop from an Infinite Wire?

The loop doesn't go around the wire, it has center moved for distance b from origin. Look at his sketch in attached pdf. Rho represents what you said, but the loop is not on constant rho, neither rho is the radius of the loop (which is a).

How to Calculate Magnetic Flux Through a Loop from an Infinite Wire?

I think you're wrong, look at the picture in KleZMeR pdf. With rho I mean the distance from wire on z-axis, so rho is not constant through loop, if I understand the problem right.

How to Calculate Magnetic Flux Through a Loop from an Infinite Wire?

Field B depends on rho as you wrote. Flux is: \int_{0}^{A} B \cdot dA Since you know field B as the function of rho, you should also express differential area dA in terms of rho (and d(rho)), so you'll get dA = f(rho)d(rho). Then you integrate \int_{a-b}^{a+b} B(\rho)f(\rho)d\rho ...

Solving for Charge Distribution on 2 Conducting Spheres & Rod

    you have three equations, (1) and two equations in (2). Q_1/A_1 = Q_2/A_2 and Q_2/A_2 = Q_3/A_3.

try to look what is A^T A then use the rule for determinant of product.
