My reflexion would be :if mass warp space time a very small surface with a big mass, sharp enough, should be able to flex the space time till it eventually breaks creating a hole to another dimension. Physics seems to have trouble explaining lots of things ( black holes, particles entanglement, dark mater, dark energy) but at least we found a name for everything we call it "singularity".
