Why Does the Negative Plate of a Capacitor Become Negatively Charged?

What do u mean by same potential difference ? If u mean that of battery then yes if u leave the connection of the plates not disconnected for sufficient time YES.. The net charge of the Capacitor(2 plate system) is Zero...But one plate will have the same no of electrons deficient as the other...

Why Does the Negative Plate of a Capacitor Become Negatively Charged?

Think this way: The electrons of the plate connected to +ve terminal of Cell are attracted towards the +ve terminal of cell(Leaving the plate Electrons Deprived and +vely charged) ...Since the incoming electrons to the cell must be somehow equal to outgoing electrons, The electrons from the -ve...

Does charges remain in an extension cord when unplugged?

Secondly there are 2 aspects of electricity one static like the potential across capacitor which is developed because of one side being excess in charge and other side equally deficient. we do not get static potential (like capacitors) in our home. The voltage/power that comes in our home is...

Does charges remain in an extension cord when unplugged?

No no i am not Saying that the potential of live and neutral wire of power sockets comes to at same potential. the wires of for e.g tv, radio when disconnected comes to at same potential!

Why does the rest mass of an object increase when it's in motion?

But again how can we find its associated-energy increased at a distance? can we measure energy at a distance? help me pls

Why does the rest mass of an object increase when it's in motion?

You yourself said to measure the mass when not moving relative to the object. I, personally, don't think we can measure mass at a distance without going into general relativity first or by using special relativity!

Why does the rest mass of an object increase when it's in motion?

So let's assume that I am in rocket B and a pen is in Rocket A. When there is no relative velocity if i measure the pen's mass i get Rest mass and when there is relative velocity betn Rocket A and B if i measure the pen's mass again i find it increased?

Why does the rest mass of an object increase when it's in motion?

If mass of a moving object is as below: What is the value of Mo(Rest Mass) Since in relativity everything is relative and no object is actually at rest. Is the term 'Rest Mass' just theoretical assumption? Please make me clear i am new to Relativity.

Stability of Bicycles: Why is it Easier Moving?

I have this burning question_Why is it that we can stabalize bicycle so easily when its moving but not when its still?

Does charges remain in an extension cord when unplugged?

Another very imp thing u have to understand about current is that when u make current flow in wires u are not pushing extra charges to the wire u are simply making the charges already present in the wires move in certain direction according to the potential...

Does charges remain in an extension cord when unplugged?

Ok i get where u were confused if u unplug the wires then u have ask is there any voltage source present (after unplugging) that can make the two wires at different potential? No there is not so in absence of potential source the two wires immediately comes to the same potential.

Does charges remain in an extension cord when unplugged?

"...live wire happens to be at the peak of the AC curve..." Its just that the voltage (w.r.t something) in the live wire is at the peak not the current. if u unplug it it will not disturb its natural curve (of voltage-time)...

Does charges remain in an extension cord when unplugged?

U need to understand what an electric current is first. Imagine current being people on a marathon in a circle filling the whole circle. If the oraganizer whistles (when voltage is applied) then all the people start running at the same rate and there is current but when you ask them to stop...

Energy of Wave: Does Amplitude Affect E?

Einstein's showed that (in his 1905 papers) light is made up of photons and each photon's energy depends on its frequency. energy of 1 photon is h.f
