DO NOT USE THE MAGNETIC HIDE AWAY KEYS! they suck they usually fall apart, the only time you need them, is the time it fell off of your car. you are better off drilling a hole in the key and bolting it to the frame somewhere
hey the how stuff works link is pretty vaild, i think lock picking is pretty cool, espically if you want to play a joke on your friend, but its really hard to do and take A lot of practice! i got the tools at newyears and i can barley pick a padlock, and that still takes me like 1/2 hour to do...
thanks, yeah i hurd that the nine inchers aren't as good ffor road courses. But people like them because they are strong. There is a company that makes dana 60s that are shaved down to save weight. I would probably pick something like that, or to smaller axles, and make it a four wheel drive...
i know that there is a lot more than just 50/50, but general rule of thumb is about 50/50, i mean i don't make cars for a living, and any car i would make would be street driven, so i don't need any balasts for better weight distrabution, i was just trying to find an easy way to get better...
hey i was wondering if anyone can adapt variable cam timing to any DOHC engine? I was thinking in regards to the early northstar v8s. I have seen v-tec on hondas, and how it gives them basically more horsepower at a certain rpm. I think the gains would be more if you have a bigger engine...
ok, i know about weight bias, and how its better to have a 50/50 weight distrabution on a car, for best handling in turns and junk. My question is, is it better to have unsprung weight or weight on teh chassis? This is mostly in regards to the battery, since its somewhat easy to move around...
ok, i got another question, would a windage tray be benificial in a regular wet stump engine? and also, is it good to have a negative crank case pressure? If its good to have a negative crank pressure, is that more benificial in a car that has boost?
hey everyone i was wondering why people don't make an internal combustion engine in the shape of an A instead of a V. this way it would have two crankshafts, and two pistons and one cyliner head for every two pistons. I think this would make the explosion my effecitive than just one piston...
hey everyone, i was wondering if anyone knows how to convert a regular (wet stump) engine into a dry stump engine? Is it hard to do, and is it worth the gain? My goal is to make a low budget, street legal car that can do drag strip duty on the weekends. I know that a dry stump would be better...
hey guys, i failed calc last year and got a bad grade in physics. But i still want to learn about both. My question is about deratives. I have yet to find a real world example and how to apply the formulas to it. I've hurd that the curvature (dunno if that's a word) of on/off freeway ramps...
I don't think its the weight so much as the rotating mass. You can only spin a huge object so fast before it vibrates itself apart. When you lengthen the stroke, or the bore or create more weight farther away from the center of the crankshaft. Which turns your engine into a train, slower to...
you could always look at another frame at a custom motorcycle shop, or any HD dealership for that matter. if you had the time, you could completely gut the trans case, bolt the mounting plate to it, and bolt it to the inside of the primary and bolt that to the engine. That would align your...
