Visualizing Math: Tips & Tricks for Newbies
I like to think about the cancellation in a few more steps, however I never write it down. $$A=\pi r^2 = \pi \left ( \frac{C}{2\pi} \right )^2 = \frac{1}{4}\frac{\pi}{\pi\pi}C^2 = \frac{1}{4}\frac{1}{\pi}\frac{\pi}{\pi}C^2=\frac{1}{4}\frac{1}{\pi}(1)C^2= \frac{1}{4\pi}C^2$$- James Wine

Courses How hard are upper division physics courses compared to freshman physics?
Coming from a guy who took the second semester of freshman physics and statistical mechanics at same time. I'd have to say it gets much harder but it's bearable. I had not had any modern physics and every other thing involved me reading a book on modern physics. Of the 5 classes I had last...- James Wine

Should I stay and complete a physics degree on top of my math degree?
My situation is different than most people who come to this board; I think anyways. I'm currently in my 4th year of school and can complete my mathematics degree next May. I can also choose to stay one more year and complete a physics degree on top of the math degree. However here's where I...- James Wine

Mathematica Plotting 2D Graph in Mathematica: y>=340 & y<340
If someone could supply the code to plot this graph in Mathematica would be awesome. Would also be best if it checked the y's at units of t {0,1,2,3...,inf} y >= 340 Plot[100 (t) - 340 (t/2), {t, 0, 20}] y< 340 Plot[100 (t) - 115 (t/2) , {t, 0, 20}]- James Wine
