I had a quick question about one of the exercises of my electronics book. Step #1 says that I should do:
(5 - 0.7)/(10 + 101 * 1) = 0.039 mA
However, I can't seem to find where the 0.7V comes from. I simulated the circuit in Multisim and i'm measuring the voltages everywhere...

But how does the resistor being in the bottom change...

Hey guys. I need to merge about 7 PDF's but a few of them are about 80MB in size. I've tried a few good PDF pages from around the web but they all seem to have about 50MB in limit.
Could anyone suggest me a good program that has no limitations to size of PDF's? Preferably free but if not...
